Conference: “Forest Science for Future Forests: Forest genetic monitoring and biodiversity in changing environments”

The “Forest Science for Future Forests: Forest genetic monitoring and biodiversity in changing environments” conference will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 21th of September till 25th of September 2020. The opening of the conference in the afternoon is scheduled after the LIFEGENMON TB meeting, with Genetic diversity and climate change as the first topic. The conference will be broadcast via Live stream. Up to 100 active participants are also welcomed to actively participate via a virtual (on-line) conference using a Zoom platform. On the third day, an on-site excursion to the Forest Genetic Monitoring plot Pri Studnecu, the Virgin Forest reserves Rajhenavski Rog and Krakovo forest is organized and presented virtually. The press conference will take place on the last day of the LIFEGENMON conference.

This conference will feature a wide range of talks, discussions and networking opportunities with experts in the field of forest genetics and forest adaptation to climate change. Scientists and stakeholders from around Europe are welcome to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

Registration is required for both, on-site and as well on-line participation. Live stream is opened to everybody, without registration, but links can be distributed to the registered spectators.
